 Angat is...

At first, Angat  is established in 2013 with ex-JOCV(Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers)in the Philippines, which is engaging in helping needy people in the Philippines and also for victims of gigantic typhoon Yolanda. With the help of the Japanese certified NPO ‘ICAN’, we are raising hearty donations for useful aiding activities in the Philippines. Now we have also some member of non-ex- JOCV and Filipino in Japan.

We held a screening of the film ‘Basula’ which is directed by a Japanese director, dipicting  the harshy life of people living in Smoking Mountain(garbage dump). We donated all admission fee to aid activities organized by certified NPO ‘ICAN’, giving stationery costs to the children Who is living in some disaster areas. Our target is making cultural exchange between Filipino in Japan and every Japanese through the movie.
